Correlation Effects of Frequency Hopping Diversity Systems in Indoor Mobile Communications Environments

چکیده
AbsuactFrequency-Hopping (FH) techniques in conjunction with coding have been proposed for indoor radio systems based on the fact that FH behaves as an intrinsic frequency diversity technique. In this paper we assess the performance of a FH-BPSK for other situations not previously considered in the literature. In particular, the effects of having a non-null correlation coeffiiient in function of the frequency separation as well as the presence of coding schemes have been considered.

This paper addresses a new architecturc for hlind adaptive beamforming when dealing with Frequency Hopping (FH) modulation in cellular mobile communications systems. The proposed Code Reference Beamformer (CRB) takes advantage of the inherent frequency diversity to estimate beforehand the noise plus interference correlation matrix, which is employed as the first part of the framework. Then, a s...

In this paper we propose a TDMA Slow Frequency Hopping-Trellis Coded 8DPSK scheme for indoor mobile radio communications. In order to assess the performance of this scheme a GWSSUS (Gaussian Wide Sense Stationary Uncorrelated Scattering) continuous channel model with an exponentiol Power Delay Profire has been adopted. This channel model allows us to analize transmission rates much lower than t...
متن کاملDiversity Combining Considerations for Incoherent Frequency Hopping Multiple Access Systems
This paper studies the problem of diversity combining for frequency-hopped multiple access (FHMA) systems that operate in a mobile satellite environment characterized by frequency-nonselective Rician multipath fading. The modulation scheme considered is the incoherent 3f-ary frequency-shift keying (MFSK). The optimal diversity combining rule is derived under the assumptions that the number of a...
متن کاملStochastic Radio Channel Model for Advanced Indoor Mobile Communication Systems
A stochastic radio channel model (SRCM) for broadband indoor mobile systems operating at 5.2 and 17 GHz has been derived within the ACTS project AC085 Magic WAND. The SRCM was designed to accurately describe the time, frequency, direction, and polarization dispersive characteristic of real radio channels because these effects are important for the design of advanced receiver structures incorpor...
